Clyro Proof
Verify a Clyro document
Confirm that a document or claim is recorded on Clyro and anchored to an independent, Bitcoin-backed timestamp authority — without taking Clyro’s word for it. Drop a file (it is hashed in your browser and never leaves your device) or paste a hash or proof reference.
How it works
01
A fingerprint, not your file. Clyro records the SHA-256 fingerprint of each document — never the contents. Verifying re-computes that fingerprint in your browser and checks it against Clyro’s tamper-evident record.
02
A tamper-evident chain. Each recorded event is cryptographically linked to the one before it, so any later change to the record is detectable.
03
Anchored externally. Batches of those fingerprints are committed — hashes only — to a public, Bitcoin-backed timestamp authority (OpenTimestamps). Once confirmed, the record is tamper-proof and the timestamp can be confirmed by anyone, independently of Clyro.
Privacy by design: you can only check a hash or reference you already hold. Clyro never returns a document, a counterparty, or any other detail — an unknown value simply returns “not found,” and nothing more.
